Hi, I’m Jana
Founder, Clinical Nutritionist & Meditator
I studied at Endeavour College of Natural Health, getting my Bachelor's degree in Clinical Nutrition and absolutely fell in love with the profession. Even from a young age, I always found myself educating and supporting people with their nutrition and guiding them towards a healthier lifestyle, naturally gravitating towards teaching people the power of food as medicine.
Like many millennials, I went through a party phase as a young adult, thrashing my body with poor life choices and average food, all while still being heavily involved in sports. I could feel my body was not happy and started showing signs that I needed to make a change. I ignored it. To top it off, I joined the military in an attempt to tame my wild nature and to change my environment. Spoiler alert: Everything got worse. At this point, my body systems were screaming for change as I suffered with a weakened immune system, worsening insomnia, hormonal imbalances, gut issues and a nervous system begging for change.
Having worked through my own roller coaster of a health journey all while keeping active and involved in sports, I learnt first hand the value of nutrition and supporting the mind, body and soul with lifestyle changes.
Not only do I love my job, but I am also passionate about providing the care and support people need to feel their most vital and vibrant selves.
What I believe
All bodies are capable of healing; it depends on whether you are ready to make the change.
Food is medicine, and every meal is an opportunity to nourish.
True healing is multidimensional—it involves the body, mind, and environment.
Science tells us A LOT, but not everything.
There is magic in blending the current science with ancient practices.
Eating for health is more powerful than fasting or restriction.
Life becomes more colourful and enjoyable when you prioritise your health.

My MotivationGrowing up, I had what we now call an ‘almond mum’ or ‘crunchy mum.’ She was the picture of health, active daily, never drank alcohol and loved growing and eating her own fruits and vegetables. She loved going on adventures, hiking, swimming, and even trying wakeboarding at 54 with us kids. She would make me the most nutrient-dense, whole-food lunches that had my teachers offering her money to make theirs too. She would always say, “You have two things in this life, your family and your health”, a quote that still resonates with me today. She always looked younger than she was and rarely, if ever, had an illness or injury before passing in a freak accident.
My father could not have been more opposite. He was a smoker until he got lung cancer, which then caused him to turn to alcohol. His diet was predominantly fatty meats, soft drinks and processed carbs. The older he got, the more sedentary he became, and his body responded in kind. I don’t remember my dad ever being well, surviving multiple cancers (Lung, Liver, gallbladder, Bowel), 2 strokes and a heart attack. His body started to give out, taking away his ability to walk and use his hands, as neuropathy took over. It was horrible to watch, and I wonder how he made it to 71 years before liver cirrhosis took what was left of him. I got firsthand experience of how diet and lifestyle play a role in how your body shows up in this life.
This is what drives my practice, to help people learn how to take better care of themselves so that they can live a beautiful long vibrant life.
