Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 23rd October 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply when you use the House Healix website, book an appointment, or receive services from House Healix.
When you book an appointment, you will be asked to confirm that you have read and accept these terms and our Cancellation & Refund Policy. By using this website, you also agree to these terms to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

2. Who we see
House Healix provides services to clients aged 13 and over. We do not currently see children under this age.
For clients under 18:
a parent or guardian must give consent before the first consultation
a parent or guardian is responsible for booking, payment and agreeing to these terms
a parent or guardian is asked to attend the initial consultation
How we handle a young person's health information, including what is shared with their parent or guardian, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
3. General health information
Information on this website is for general education only. It does not replace individual medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment or advice from an appropriately qualified health professional.
Website content does not take into account your medical history, circumstances or needs. Please seek professional advice before making significant changes to your health care, particularly if you have a medical condition or take prescribed medication.
4. Not an emergency service
House Healix does not provide emergency or crisis care. If you need urgent medical help, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department.
Emails, messages and portal communications are not monitored for urgent matters. We aim to respond to non-urgent messages within 2 business days.
5. Clinical nutrition consultations
Recommendations are individualised and follow an assessment of your circumstances. They are based on available evidence, clinical reasoning and the information you provide, so please tell us about your health history, medications and any changes.
The nature, scope and limitations of our services will be explained before you begin. House Healix does not guarantee particular health outcomes.
Where a concern is outside the scope of nutrition care, we may recommend you see your GP or another health professional. We may also decline or pause services where nutrition care is not appropriate or safe for you.
6. Telehealth
Telehealth consultations are held through our practice management system's secure video service. For telehealth appointments, please:
join from a private location where you can speak freely
use a device with a stable internet connection, camera and microphone
join at your appointment time using the link provided
If the connection drops, we will try to reconnect or continue by phone. If the consultation cannot be completed for technical reasons on our side, we will reschedule at no extra cost.
Consultations must not be recorded by either party without the other's consent.
Telehealth may not suit every situation. We may recommend an in-person appointment where it is more appropriate.
7. Bookings and payments
Appointments can be booked through our online booking system or by contacting us. Bookings depend on availability and are confirmed once you receive a confirmation email.
Prices are shown before you book. Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. We accept payment by card through our payment providers.
Our services are not covered by Medicare rebates. Private health fund rebates are not currently available. Some private health funds may offer rebates depending on your cover; please check with your fund.
8. Cancellations, no-shows and refunds
Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. You can do this through the booking confirmation email, the client portal or by contacting us.
48 hours' notice or more: no fee. Any prepayment is refunded or moved to your new appointment.
Less than 48 hours' notice: a late cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation may apply.
No-show (not attending without notice): The full consultation fee may be charged.
We understand emergencies and illness happen. We may waive fees at our discretion in genuine circumstances.
If House Healix needs to cancel or reschedule, we will give as much notice as possible and offer a new time or a full refund of any prepayment.
Our full Cancellation & Refund Policy is available at https://www.househealix.com.au/cancellation-policy. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your right to a remedy where a service is not provided with due care and skill.
9. Pathology, testing and supplements
Pathology, functional testing and supplements may involve extra costs and external providers. Their suitability, limitations and costs will be discussed with you before you proceed, and you are never obliged to buy tests or supplements through House Healix.
House Healix may receive a margin or practitioner pricing on supplements or tests supplied through the practice.
Where a third-party provider supplies a product or service, their terms may also apply. This does not exclude your consumer rights.

14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will publish the current version on our website. Changes will not apply to a booking already made unless you agree or the law allows.
